Today’s daily poem for inspiration is about finding our path towards what we are meant for:

The Universal Path
Is a slingshot more effective than a skipping stone
across a sleek sheet of water
dark and ominous from the storm above
she pondered her options
eyebrow curving up over her amber eye
to a million possibilities
sometimes nature seems ready but
an after midnight gale pushes a pirate off path
or an iridescent flash cracks open a solid tree
that’s stood strong in the forest for a thousand years
or was it waiting to
release and transform into what
it was meant to be
sustenance for soil
a boat for passage
a home for a forest queen
you can’t catch nature’s breath in a bottle
or a spark in a covered jar
but a lightning scar can catapult
a tree toward its much longed-for journey
flung free in the wide open sea
Is a slingshot more effective than a skipping stone?
it’s not the question to ask,
said the wood gliding on the glittering sea
The essential part
and the one path that matters is
that you become
what you’re meant to be
